Project Description
The project includes the addition of new parking to accommodate the growing need for parking in the City Hall Campus area.
Project Benefits
Additional parking will alleviate the existing parking shortage as well as accommodate the additional need for parking as a result of the construction of the new library, theater, and amphitheater.

Project Status
On February 1, 2011, Phase 1 of the Civic Center Campus Parking Project began. Please be advised that during construction public parking will be made available in the parking lot which is adjacent to the main City Hall and Development Services building. Overflow parking, as well as employee parking, will be available on the surrounding, non-residential, public streets. Please obey all traffic control devices around the campus and travel through the area with caution. Pedestrian traffic should utilize signalized pedestrian crossings as appropriate. Phase 1 is expected to last approximately three months.
The contractor is scheduled to pave Phase I of the project and Nathan Simon Way by the end of April, 2011. Once constructed, Phase I will be available for parking between the East Annex/Engineering and the Police Department buildings.
