Cultural Arts Program 2006/2008

The quarterly Artist Showcase was developed two years ago as part of the City of Fontana’s dedication to the Cultural Arts. Through providing quarterly artist showcases, Fontana residents are introduced to artist from local and surrounding areas.

One of the objectives of the program is to introduce the artist process used to develop the art form and methods used to bring the work to life. Each artist selected for the quarterly showcases is requested to showcase their work for three month period in the City Council Chamber Foyer located at City Hall. The artist will also be showcased in a small presentation, invited to dine with the members of the Fontana Community and presented to City council. Additionally, each artist selected to showcase will be awarded a nominal stipend from the local Fontana business community.

All artists interested in applying for the upcoming Showcases are required to complete and submit the artist recruitment packet.

The Fontana Mummers Community Theater brings quality live theatre to the Fontana area and gives area residents an opportunity to have a place to express their talents.
