Guys Named Moe features talented artists

Fontana,
California, September 16, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite theater and
jazz lovers to purchase tickets today for 5 Guys Named Moe at
the Center Stage Theater, located at 8463 Sierra Avenue. The performance features the
talents of Ty London as Little Moe, O Womack as Big Moe, Sherman McLaurin as Eat Moe,
Andrew Johnson as Four Eyed Moe, and Desmond Newson as No Moe. The performance includes
dinner and is scheduled to run from Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 19. Tickets

Tickets for the show only, without dinner, are also available. Prices are $48 with promotional
code: FGNM48 or $28 for the General Admission show only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The skills of each actor are evident the moment they step on stage as the
alter-egos of Nomax, a man down on life and overcome by loneliness. The five characters
serve as Nomax’s musician alter egos who comfort him with their performances of Louis
Jordan songs. Each character sings, dances, and engages in dialogue with each other and
Nomax throughout the play.
“I am fortunate to work with such fantastic performers,” says Ty London who plays Little
Moe. “We have so much fun at the rehearsals and the actors are all so talented. We have
great chemistry when we are on stage.”
As someone who has been performing all of his life, he has acted in many
theaters throughout the nation. Having toured for a year with Tyler Perry for Diary of
a Mad Black Woman, to a national television commercial, and performances in Smokey Joe’s
Café as well as the recent Once on this Island in Riverside. He has come across some
of the best theater has to offer.
When asked about the newly renovated Center Stage Theater and the show producers,
London is straightforward in his praise.
“I hope to come back again to perform at Center Stage Theater. This has been my first
show in Fontana. The set is beautiful and it has been a great experience,” says London.
The musical Five Guys Named Moe is a part of the Broadway Series
at Center Stage Theater and is written by Clarke Peters. Songs feature Louis Jordan’s
Greatest Hits.
