OF FONTANA SPONSORS COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP AND RECYCLING DAY

Fontana,
California, March 17, 2008. The Mayor and City Council announce that the semi-annual Community Clean-Up
and Recycling Day will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at West Valley MRF, 13373 Napa Street ( enter off
Etiwanda Avenue ), from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The theme of the Clean-Up Day campaign is "Together we can make a difference by Keeping Fontana
Beautiful." With the approach of spring, Clean-Up Day is the perfect opportunity to clear out cluttered
garages, yards, and storage areas and haul refuse items to this half-day recycling event.
Furniture, appliances, electronics, trash, green wastes, and household hazardous waste will be accepted FREE
of charge. Passenger car and light truck tires will also be accepted, with a limit of four tires per resident,
and no commercial tires will be accepted, nor will commercial waste, explosives, medical waste, concrete, or
rubble. Those who participate must present a residential refuse bill from Burrtec Waste and proof of Fontana
residency.
Let's all work together to keep Fontana a beautiful and clean place to live by taking part in this Community
Clean-Up and Recycling day. This event is co-sponsored by the City of Fontana in cooperation with Burrtec Waste
Industries, Inc. and the County of San Bernardino. For more information about this Community Clean-Up Day, please
