Village
of Heritage neighborhood meeting offers sneak peek at the new Heritage neighborhood center

Fontana,
California, May 1, 2008. The Mayor and City Council announce the May neighborhood community meetings.
On Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 pm residents of Walnut Village and neighboring communities, also known as Area 2 East,
will meet at Ruble Middle School, 6762 Juniper Avenue. On Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 pm residents of the Village
of Heritage are invited to the monthly meeting at the all new Heritage neighborhood center, 7350 W. Liberty Parkway.
The event will offer residents a sneak peek at the new 10,200 square foot venue which officially opens Saturday,
May 31. On Tuesday, May 20 at 6:30 pm, residents of the central downtown area (the Core) are invited to the quarterly
meeting to be held at the First Baptist Church, 17244 Randall Avenue. All quarterly meetings end at 8:00 pm.
Community meetings introduce citizens to various city departments and programs. Discussion topics include area-specific
crime statistics, information on traffic and construction, new policies and recreational opportunities. The meeting
scheduled for the Village of Heritage on May 15 is an opportunity for residents in the immediate areas to view
the large classrooms/banquet areas, Tiny Tot room and play area, renovated deck and courtyard which lead to Heritage
Pool. The meeting will also give residents an opportunity to find out about the programs and services that will
be offered at the neighborhood center.
