Neighborhood
meetings in October

Fontana,
California, September 24, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite
the public to the quarterly neighborhood community meetings scheduled throughout
the month of October. While residents are invited to any meeting, topics related
directly to specific neighborhoods are primarily covered in the assigned area
meetings.
Area 4, residents south of interstate 10, will meet on Thursday,
October 2 at Southridge Middle School located at 14500 Live Oak Avenue at 6:30
pm. Topics at the meeting will include graffiti tracking, construction, crime,
and more.
Area 1 West, Hunter’s Ridge residents, are scheduled to meet
at Long Elementary located at 5383 Bridlepath Drive on Monday, October 6 at
6:30 pm. The staff at the new Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center
at Fontana Park will give a special presentation about the center, programs
offered, and the grand opening set for October 25. A representative from the
Police Department will give a presentation about Megan’s Law. Staff from traffic
engineering will also be in attendance to address any traffic related questions.
Area 1 East, Sierra Lakes/Citrus Heights residents, will meet
on Monday, October 20 at Sierra Lakes Elementary, located at 5740 Avenal Place
at 7 pm. The staff from the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center
will give a presentation about the new center, programs offered, and the grand
opening set for October 25. A representative from the Police Department will
give a presentation about Megan’s Law. Staff from traffic engineering will
also be in attendance to address any traffic related questions.
Area 2 Center, The Landings residents, are scheduled to meet
at Solorio Elementary located at 15172 Walnut Street at 6:30 pm on Thursday,
October 30. Topics will include graffiti tracking, construction, crime, and
an introduction to staff from the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community
Center in Fontana Park.
