Don Day Offers One Day Seminars

Fontana, California, April 15, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents interested in discovering new ways of funding college educations, improving credit scores and more to register for some of the new one day seminars offered through the Don Day Neighborhood Center located at 14501 Live Oak Avenue. All seminars are free to seniors ages 55 and older.

Get Thousands of Dollars for your Child's Education is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Participants will learn several ways to help finance a college education without a lot of out-of-pocket expense. The seminar is $25 with a $30 material fee due the day of the class.

Is a Reverse Mortgage Right for You is offered on Wednesday, May 7 from 11:00 am to noon. The class covers the positive and negative aspects to reverse mortgages and teaches ways to save money for retirement. The seminar is $5.

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly: Your Adjustable Rate is back for another day. The $6 one day seminar is offered on Thursday, May 8 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Participants will learn how to better understand their Adjustable Rate Mortgage and how to work within the system.

Enrollment for any of the seminars must be completed prior to the event. No on-site registration will be permitted.
