Dance
Classes at Don Day Neighborhood Center

Fontana,
California, September 15, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents
to register for upcoming dance classes at the Don Day Neighborhood Center located at
14501 Live Oak Avenue. Class subjects include Hip Hop, Combo Dance, Dance,
Dance, Dance, Mexican Folk Dance, and Jr. Tap. Class times,
prices, and dates vary.
Hip Hop is available for all skill levels. Hip Hop for ages
8 to 17 is available at Oak Park Elementary located at 14200 Live Oak Avenue from 6:15
to 7:15 pm on Thursdays beginning September 25 for $30 for 4 weeks. Senior
Hip Hop for ages 12 and up is held Wednesdays beginning September 24 from
7:15 to 8:15 pm for $40 for 6 weeks at the Don Day Neighborhood Center. Jr.
Hip Hop for ages 8 to 11 years is available on Saturdays beginning September
27 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Don Day Neighborhood Center. The class is $40 for 6 weeks.
All of the Hip Hop classes introduce the techniques and routines to Hip Hop. This is
a great way to exercise while having fun.
Combo Dance for ages 3 to 4 is available on Saturdays from
11:30 am to 12:30 pm for $40 for 6 weeks beginning September 27. Classes for ages 5 to
6 is also available from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. This fun class will teach little learners
the basics of tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop.
Dance, Dance, Dance for ages 3 to 5 is held on Tuesdays from
3 to 4 pm. Sessions for ages 5 to 9 are from 4 to 5 pm, and for ages 10 to 20 from 5
to 8 pm beginning September 23. Classes are $35 for 4 weeks ($45 for advanced students).
Students will learn the basics of ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap and all to a variety
of musical genres. Performance and competition opportunities available.
Mexican Folk Dance is taught by award winning performers for
ages 5 and older. Classes for beginners are available from 5:30 to 6:45 pm, intermediate
from 6:30 to 7:45 pm, and advanced from 7:30 to 8:45 pm. The classes will teach a variety
of regional dances from Mexico with an opportunity for students to perform. Classes are
$19 per class.
Jr. Tap is a fun new tap class for ages 8 to 11. Classes are
held from 6:15 to 7:15 pm beginning September 24 for $40 for 6 weeks.
