offers classes in Creativity, Etiquette, Safety, and Fiscal Responsibility

Fontana,
California, May 14, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents to register for the upcoming
series of recreational classes at various neighborhood centers beginning in early May. The sessions focus on
creativity, etiquette, safety, and fiscal responsibility. Class times and locations vary.
Children are encouraged to show their creative sides with the Watch Me Grow series at the Cypress
Neighborhood Center located at 8380 Cypress Avenue. The class is $20 for 4 weeks and introduces parents and children
to fun creative play times with a different theme each week. Classes begin Friday, May 30. Girls between 9 and
12 will certainly love the All About Me series at the Heritage Neighborhood Center located at 7350
W. Liberty Parkway. The class is $50 for 4 weeks and teaches young women how to have healthy self-images. Students
will learn hair and nail care, color analysis, nutrition, posture, and communication skills. Class begins Saturday,
May 31.
Lessons in etiquette will also be offered at the Heritage Neighborhood Center for students ages 6-12 and 13-18.
The classes will introduce basic table manners, sharing, caring, and giving. Students are encouraged to dress
for the occasion. Mind Your Manner s is $40 for 4 weeks and begins Saturday, May 31.
Issues of safety are addressed in a series of workshops at the Heritage Neighborhood Center. Winning Edge
Child Awareness Rapid Escape, Fight Like a Girl, and Girls on Guard will not only teach young
students ages 6 and older how to effectively protect themselves from unwelcome advances but will also help parents
sleep a little more soundly. This is a series parents do not want to miss. Each session is $30 for 4 weeks and
begins Saturday, May 31.
Fiscal responsibility is effectively communicated to the maturing teen and adult in the series of financial classes
offered at Heritage Neighborhood Center. Beware Credit Cards, Real Estate California Foreclosure Process, and Real
Estate – Short Sale offer a variety of resources to help families avoid the multitude of financial pitfalls
made by Americans every day. Each series is $25 for 4 weeks. Real Estate classes begin as early as Tuesday, May
27 while the credit card class begins Saturday, May 31.
