Days Run early registration ends soon

Fontana,
California, May 9, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite runners of all ages and abilities to register
soon for the annual Fontana Days Run: Run like the Wind. Race day also includes a Half Marathon, 5k Run, 5k Race
Walk, Family Fitness Walk, Children’s Run, and Team/Group events. An early registration with $10 discount from
the regularly priced event runs through Saturday, May 24. After that date, registration fees will be $10 more
per person for all categories.
The Fontana Days Run started in 1955 with a reported 200 participants running the first 6 miles of fast, steep
downhill running which gradually tapers off to a moderate downhill course for the final 7.1 miles. The elevation
drop from start to finish is 2,125 feet. The race is recognized as the World’s Fastest Half Marathon Course on
record by the United States Track and Field and has over 1500 registrants each year.
