Classes
in drawing, painting, and photography

Fontana,
California, September 22, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite
the public to register for upcoming cultural arts classes in drawing, painting,
and photography.
Basic Drawing for ages 6 and older is available on Wednesdays
for $60 for 4 weeks beginning October 1. Sessions are from 6:30 to 7:30 pm
for ages 6 to 8 and 7:30 to 8:30 pm for ages 9 and older at the Art Depot,
located at 16822 Spring Street. Beginning Painting is
also available at the Art Depot for $60 for 4 weeks for ages 8 and older on
Tuesdays and Saturdays from 6:30 to 8:30 pm beginning October 7. Basic
Digital Photography for adults is available at the Josephine
Knopf Senior Center, located at 8384 Cypress Avenue from 8 to 10:30 am on Saturdays
beginning October 4 for $45 for 4 weeks.
Basic Drawing introduces the basic principles of
drawing to beginners. Students will use charcoal, pencil, paint, and paper
and learn simple line techniques and complex elements such as drawing figures.
Beginning Painting helps students to learn basic
principles and forms of painting while incorporating their own natural skills
and abilities.
Basic Digital Photography introduces students to the wonders
of technology and digital cameras. Participants will learn how to use the operating
manual, rule of thirds, lighting, and how to stage a picture.
