Seniors
are invited to the Health and Resource Fair 2008

Fontana,
California, May 9, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite seniors ages 55 and older to attend the
annual Health and Resource Fair in the parking lot of the Knopf Senior Center located at 8384 Cypress Avenue
on Thursday, May 15 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event, which is co-sponsored by Inter Valley Health Plan, will
include a Fitness Walk at 10:30 a.m., lunch for $3 at 11:30 a.m., a variety of health tests, and thirty-seven
vendor booths with representatives offering information on recreational amenities, health and wellness, home
health care, medical assistance, elder abuse advocacy, estate planning, and more.
The Knopf Senior Center annual Health and Resource Fair offers the aging population an opportunity to seek and
find assistance or information about most health and life needs all in one location.
Thirty-seven vendors have registered for this year’s event which features the Braille Institute, CA Tel Access,
Department of Aging and Adult Services, Inter Valley Health Plan, and more. Free shuttle service will be available
for pick up and return at the Gardens, Fountains, Village and Courtyard Senior Apartments.
Some of the special information for the day include bone density testing, body fat screening, free services for
vision-impaired seniors, blood pressure testing, medical plan information and referrals, providers of medical
and monitoring services for seniors, estate planning services, and fun recreational opportunities for seniors.
