call for Instructors

Fontana,
California, April 28, 2008. The Mayor and City Council announce an open call for instructor applications
for the all new state-of-the-art 43,000 square-foot Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center located
at 45556 Summit Avenue. Anyone with a skilled talent or interest in teaching is invited to apply before the grand
opening set for Fall, 2008.
The Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center is the largest facility in Fontana and includes an indoor
gymnasium, a dedicated fitness gym, dedicated aerobics rooms, large assembly hall, full service kitchen, and
recreation and education classes. Conveniently situated at the entrance to Fontana Park there are plenty of opportunities
to teach within the new 38-acre green space that includes a promenade and passive play area, a fully supervised
25,000 square foot skate park, a dog park with space for both large and small dogs, a multi-purpose pavilion
for roller hockey, basketball, and special events, an open play area for walking, jogging, recreational classes,
and a picnic area. An Aquatic Center with two water slides, a zero-depth splash park, 14-lane competition pool,
and shallow recreation pool is also on the site. With so many amenities, instructor opportunities are limitless
and may include traditional fitness classes to courses in dog training, foreign language or educational instruction.
