cultural events at Steelworkers’ Auditorium

Fontana,
California, September 29, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite families and
other area residents to a month of fun cultural entertainment at the Steelworkers’ Auditorium
in the Lewis Library and Technology Center located at 8437 Sierra Avenue. Events include
the Thursday night movie series and monthly live entertainment on October 17 and 18.
Staff from the San Bernardino County Library and the City of Fontana have
partnered to bring quality entertainment and cultural arts to the hundreds of thousands
of visitors that come to the library every month. In September, hundreds witnessed the
abilities of Anthony the Magic and become inspired by Latin dance.
On Friday, October 17 at 5 pm the Inspired Entertainment series
will feature Edgar Allen Poe and Scary Stories by
storyteller Timothy J. Ereneta. On Saturday, October 18 at 2 pm the Active Creation series
will feature Spooky Science, a performance and hands’ on educational experience by Captain
Leslie.
The October movie series is every Thursday at 6 pm. The movie on Thursday,
October 30 will follow the Lewis Library and Technology Halloween party on October 30
from 3 to 6 pm. The party includes creepy crafts and a haunted house. Special library
trick-or-treating will be available on Friday, October 31.
The Steelworkers’ Auditorium is available for book promotions, stand-up performances,
