Registration
underway for swimming lessons in Fontana

Fontana,
California, May 1, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite Fontana residents to register for summer
swim lessons at any one of the city’s area pools: Miller Pool at 17004 Arrow Boulevard, Don Day Pool at 14501
Live Oak Avenue, or Heritage Pool at 7350 West Liberty Parkway. Swim Lessons are $40.00 per time slot/per session
for groups and $60.00 per time slot/ per session for semi-private lessons. Open registration for non-residents
will begin Monday, June 2 and are $50 per time slot/per session for groups and $70 per time slot/per session
for semi-private lessons.
Fontana offers several swim lesson levels for new and advanced swimmers. All ages and abilities are represented
beginning with Parent and Me classes for children as young as six months up to Level 6 Seahorses for those who
need to focus on personal water safety, fundamentals of diving, and fitness swimming. A Junior Lifeguard Program/Lifeguard
Readiness is also available to any age swimmer who can swim confidently.
Swimming registrations are on-going until full. Classes sell out quickly so please register early. Each session
is approximately two weeks and times are available in mornings and evenings. Semi-private lessons are held at
Heritage Pool, 7350 W. Liberty Parkway. Sessions are two weeks in duration. The first four sessions are available
in the morning only. Session 5 is open to morning and afternoon lessons.
