Fontana’s tennis programming continues to expand

Fontana, California, September 29, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to register for upcoming tennis classes at San Sevaine Park, located at 5440 Cherry Avenue, McDermott Park, located at 7846 S. Heritage Loop, and Shadow Park, located at 14250 Shadow Avenue. Classes at each park are available for beginning through advanced playing abilities. Prices and times vary by location.

Tennis at San Sevaine Park is available on Sundays for ages 6 to 8 for $60 for 4 weeks or ages 8 and above for $80 for 4 weeks. Beginners play from 4 to 5 pm, Intermediate lessons are from 5 to 6 pm, and advanced from 6 to 7 pm beginning October 12.

Tennis at McDermott Park are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 4 pm for ages 5 to 8, at 5 pm for ages 9 to 12, ages 13 to 15 at 6 pm, and ages 16 and older at 6 pm. All lessons sessions are $36 for 4 weeks beginning October 20.

Tennis at Shadow Park is offered on Sundays at 4 pm for beginners, 5 pm for Intermediate, and 6 pm for advanced. Classes are on Sundays beginning October 12 for $40 for 4 weeks.

Tennis is a fun and competitive sport that trains the player to focus, use arms and legs, and form quick response strategies.
