Fontana Tennis: Service with a Smile

Fontana, California, March 17, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents to register for tennis lessons offered by the City of Fontana. The program at San Sevaine Park, located at 5440 Cherry Avenue includes Tennis Instruction, a Youth Tennis Clinic, and Cardio Tennis . Classes are $50 per person for 4 weeks and begin as early as Monday, March 31, for students ages 6 and older. A series of instructions are also available on Sundays at Shadow Park, 14250 Shadow Avenue beginning Sunday April 6 for $40 for 4 weeks.

Players looking to learn the game of tennis, develop their skills, or strengthen their game strategies will enjoy any of the Beginning to Intermediate classes offered at San Sevaine or Shadow Park.

The Youth Tennis Clinic at San Sevaine Park for ages 8 to 10 offers players of all abilities an hour of forehands, backhands, serves, volleys and fun. Cardio Tennis for adults, ages 18 and older, takes players to a whole new level with drills, running, and hitting. The class will help to improve endurance and make getting to those volleys or the baseline much easier for players of any level or experience.

Registration is available at any neighborhood center, online at www.fontanrecreation.org, or by calling (909) 428-8360. All players must register prior to the first class. On-site registrations will not be accepted.
